57 states. Oh, really? I can dig that he’s tired — I would be, too, if I journeyed to as yet undiscovered states or commonwealths. The problem — and this is what makes this fair game for ridicule — is that you just know Obama supporters (who, by the way, haven’t yet responded to my legitimate inquiries as to why I should be excited for their candidate-of-choice) would be skewering Clinton/McCain/Bush if they tossed this one out on the stump.
That and he didn’t even pause when people started laughing.
So, change we can believe in = 50 = 57?
ETA: My lovely wife points this out. He says 57, and he has one more left to go to, and he’s not counting Alaska and Hawaii. That said: God bless these 60 United States of America?

He’s just trying to connect with the youth of America who think that there are actually 60 states and can’t find their’s on a map.
